This work was produced in the period between 2020 and 2021, so the compiled articles do not seek to describe or respond to the traditional descriptive analytical epidemiological situation during the global pandemic and particular epidemics of SARS-CoV-2, but on the contrary, to situate a critical regional understanding by relocating the specificity of studying, analyzing, problematizing and characterizing in depth the implications of SARS-CoV-2 on health from the Global South.
The present research project sought to understand, think about and problematize the critical epidemiological processes and response to the SARS-CoV-2 public health emergency in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Likewise, the aim is also to study and problematize the learning, errors and limitations of the epistemology, theories and public health policies operationalized in the epidemiological response to SARS-CoV-2.
