The book “Energy, Economy and Power: A Critical Look at the Energy Problem”, by Marco Kofman co-published by CLACSO ’s relationship with the Southern Petroleum ObservatoryThis book offers a conceptual and historical overview of energy in Argentina. Through a rigorous analysis of statistical and accounting data, it invites us to construct a comprehensive view of the energy problem, addressing commercial, geopolitical, corporate, distributive, and institutional aspects. The author argues that these issues must be considered together to avoid the epistemological traps posed by the certainties and consensus of hegemonic perspectives.
But this is not a typical sectoral study. It is not a book about oil or energy, but a sharp reflection on the trajectory and possible paths of the national economy in social, macroeconomic, environmental, and distributive matters.
