Territories as dialogues of knowledge
With a broad and diverse call for participation, the CLACSO Working Groups Popular Education and Critical Pedagogies y Participatory Processes and Methodologies they carried out the Latin American Meeting: Territories as Dialogues of Knowledge. Practices of Critical Extension, Popular Education and Participatory Processes. The event took place between November 7 and 9, 2024 at the Maldonado Campus of CURE (University of the Republic, Uruguay).
Throughout this meeting, working groups were held and experiences were shared around the following areas of work: ecritical extensionism; popular education and critical pedagogies; participatory methodologies and participatory action research and popular, community and citizen participation.
At the same time, the proposed activities were organized around a series of cross-cutting themes such as Democracy, gender and diversity perspectives, environmental thinking, and analysis of current events. From these starting points, the aim was to generate social dialogues around the central problems facing the region.
Within this framework, a Experiences FairThis space brought together the processes presented during the meeting in multiple formats. Attendees were able to enjoy posters, photos discussed at the roundtables, videos and audiovisuals, podcasts, and audio productions. Additionally, this space offered the novelty of providing computers and headphones for personalized playback of the presented experiences.
