Meeting with Jeannette Jara at CLACSO
Jeannette Jara , presidential candidate for the Unity for Chile coalition in the recent elections, visited CLACSO on Tuesday, March 24, was interviewed for InfoCLACSO and then participated in the March of Memory commemorating 50 years since the civic-military coup in Argentina.
At the headquarters of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences, he spoke with Pablo Vommaro , Executive Director of CLACSO, about the dangers of setbacks in public policies and hard-won rights that deteriorate the lives of the majority, as well as the attacks on democracy in Chile and other countries in the region.

There was complete agreement on the need to move forward with innovative proposals that revitalize our democracies and more fully express popular aspirations. And also on the power of the digital world, which must be more fully embraced through transformative projects and dialogue with new generations.
Also participating in the meeting were Graciela Castro, a member of the CLACSO Steering Committee, Daniela Perrotta from the University of Buenos Aires and a member of the CLACSO Network, Alejandro Gambina, Director of Training and Postgraduate Network at CLACSO, and the Chilean researcher Pablo Chacón.
