In the name of care: work and reproduction of life

The University of the Republic, of Uruguay, with the support of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences, is organizing on Thursday, May 21, the “Days of reflection in the scenario of the Covid-19 pandemic: current challenges and possible guidelines for future strategies”.
The presentation will be given by Rodrigo Arim, Rector of UDELAR, and Luis Leopold, Pro-Rector of Management of the same university.
“In the Name of Care – Work and the Reproduction of Life” is the title of the panel discussion featuring Karina Batthyány, from UDELAR and Executive Secretary of CLACSO; Brazilian sociologist Bila Sorj, from the State University of Rio de Janeiro; and Soledad Salvador, from the Interdisciplinary Center for Development Studies (CIEDUR) and a member of the Uruguayan Pro-Care Network. The event begins at 4:00 PM (Uruguay and Argentina time) and will be moderated by Uruguayan sociologist Natalia Genta.
