Elisa Loncon was elected to be part of the Constitutional Convention of Chile

From the CLACSO Working Group on Education and Interculturality felicitamos a nuestra colega e integrante del GT, la Dra.

We celebrate her election because of her commitment to the linguistic and educational rights of Indigenous populations, especially the Mapuche people. Her participation represents progress in the challenge of building multiethnic and multilingual states throughout Latin America.
We hope that their performance will allow for changes in favor of the native populations of Chile, the socially marginalized sectors, and those who have driven this process of social transformations.
