The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Argentina) created the Diamond Program
Within the framework of International Open Access Week, "Community vs. Commercialization," the The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation launched the Diamond Program. This initiative seeks not only to support and strengthen open access scientific and technological journals published in Argentina, but also to recognize the efforts of those who manage and edit these publications, with a special emphasis on the journals of excellence that comprise the Core Collection of Scientific Journals managed by the Argentine Center for Scientific and Technological Information of the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CAICYT-CONICET). The program's specific objective is to support their publication and sustainability, contributing to the development of new capabilities and the technological and professional development of the editorial teams that manage them.
This program, which will operate under a permanent window system, establishes funding for these magazines of up to $25.000 per year, for 4 years.
