CLACSO Working Group Crisis and World Economy

This book, through its sixteen chapters, seeks to advance the analysis of relevant components of the current economic development of the global system, the Latin American and Caribbean region, and some countries both within and outside the region. It is, of course, a partial effort, which does not pretend to provide a comprehensive account of the work's overall theme or the topics addressed in the sections and their respective chapters, especially considering that these topics, and the global context in which they are embedded, are undergoing profound ruptures and redefinitions, as we have stated. Nevertheless, bearing this in mind, we hope that reading this work will contribute to a greater understanding of a reality in crisis and, therefore, to the imperative to comprehend and transform it.
