This work of Gladys TzulTzul This research is part of a broader investigation that analyzes, in historical terms, the antagonism between the community and the state in Honduras and the struggles of women to defend communal lands. It focuses particularly on the contemporary situation of communities defending themselves against extractivism. It also examines the methods and strategies of political self-regulation within these communities—that is, the restorative, non-carceral, and non-punitive horizons of justice created by women.
