The Challenge of Change in Colombia

August 7 marked the first anniversary of Gustavo Petro and Francia Márquez's arrival at the Casa de Nariño in Bogotá. As stated in a press release from the CLACSO Steering Committee and the CLACSO Member Centers Network of Colombia a year ago, "the government program, elected by more than 11 million Colombians and representing the highest vote count in the country's democratic history, opens up a scenario of possibility to move towards peace, social justice, and environmental justice for a people burdened by war, inequality, and social precarity."
To analyze and evaluate the first year of government in Colombia and its projection towards the future, CLACSO.tv offers a series of programs with academics and members of social movements.
