This compilation is the result of the international workshop “Work, care and public policies: a look towards Latin America”, held on October 15, 2018 at the University of São Paulo and organized in collaboration with the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (Cebrap).1
The event was the starting point for the creation of a Latin American Network for Care Studies, capable of promoting analysis
systematic comparisons between our countries.

This compilation aims to promote systematic comparative analysis on work, care, and public policies among Latin American countries.
