Mutual support in times of crisis
The Covid-19 pandemic further exposed humanity's vulnerabilities, while also exacerbating pre-existing inequalities. However, it also highlighted its strengths, not only in terms of the vaccines created in record time (albeit with terribly unequal distribution), but also in underscoring the importance of healthcare systems.
The SOLIVID initiative, comprised of 34 research groups from Latin America and Europe, was created in April 2020 as a metadata system on international solidarity actions that emerged in the context of the pandemic. In this volume, published in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Barcelona, 43 authors study and disseminate these collective solidarity actions, providing elements for debate and resources for a comprehensive analysis.
