The Anthropocene as a multiple crisis
The handbook series “The Anthropocene as a Multiple Crisis: Perspectives from Latin America,” a joint project between CLACSO and CALAS, is a pioneering endeavor that seeks to understand the Anthropocene from a specific region of the Global South while remaining mindful of its planetary dimension. Its completion has been made possible by the dedicated work of a team of twenty editors and more than seventy authors from multiple countries and disciplines.
Volume I, “Land Use”, focuses on the social appropriation and use of land based on the transformations of matter, social practices, their political and legal regulations, as well as the imaginaries built about the territories.
