2018
The National University of Tres de Febrero , together with the UOCRA Foundation , prepared a report on job quality and the socio-productive structure. This initial analysis was presented to create a space for study and debate to evaluate different labor market indicators.
We are presenting the third issue of the Dossier on Job Quality and Socio-productive Structure. In the months since the last issue, several indicators of the Argentine labor market have deteriorated.
In this issue we want to focus on the characteristics of the persistence of structural problems and, at the same time, point out that, within the Argentine labor market, those workers who have a quality job only represent half of the employed in our country.
This phenomenon is precisely what we call the normalization of precarious work, since headlines frequently report on the number of people who are unemployed and those who, while employed, are not registered. This is undoubtedly important to point out, but unfortunately, the problem is much larger. In other words, there are other socio-occupational segments with serious problems of job insecurity, which we will attempt to characterize in this installment.
