International Youth Day
International Youth Day, established on August 12th each year, has been declared by the United Nations General Assembly to promote its role as an essential partner in processes of change and to create a space to raise awareness about the challenges and problems that young people face.
CLACSO dedicates a prime space to the concerns and actions of young people and has, among other things, an observatory and an open access library that reflect the problems and aspirations of this segment of the population.
The “ Latin American and Caribbean Observatory on Early Childhood, Childhoods and Youth ” is an initiative of the CLACSO Working Group “Childhoods and Youth” which, to date, has three research reports.
The Open Access Library “ Argentine Youth Today: Trends, Perspectives, Debates ” is a collaborative project of CLACSO with the University Publishing Group, directed by Pablo Vommaro. Since its creation in 2015, this series has been developing new themes and expanding its geographical reach to advance the construction of a map that contributes to the understanding of youth realities in Argentina with a Latin American focus and generational perspective.
