Dismantle green colonialism
This book, co-published with TNI, comprises a collection of essays by authors primarily from the Middle East and North Africa that address the dimensions of the energy transition and how to make this process equitable and just. The articles cover a wide range of countries, from Morocco, Western Sahara, Algeria, and Tunisia, to Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, and Palestine, and the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
The publication also includes contributions with a regional perspective: on agricultural transitions and the neocolonial struggle to find diverse energy sources (including green hydrogen) in North Africa, as well as the challenges and contradictions of the energy transition in the Persian Gulf.
