21st Century Challenges from South America
On Thursday, February 26, Tektónikos , on its second anniversary, together with CLACSO , Mundo Sur , and IELAC, convened a virtual meeting of leading political and academic figures from Latin America and the Caribbean to discuss the international landscape and the challenges facing our region. The event was supported by legislators from Parlasur, Hilando Fino, and included participation from the Puebla Group and the São Paulo Forum, among others.

In a context marked by the structural crisis in the United States and the imperial offensive led by Donald Trump, the meeting will address three central themes:

🔹 Challenges to a Latin America and the Caribbean in Dispute under Trump's Imperialism: Mónica Valente , São Paulo Forum and PT of Brazil, Rander Peña , Vice Minister for International Communication of Venezuela, Carlos Tomada , Mundo Sur, former Argentine ambassador to Mexico, and Darío Pignotti , journalist and correspondent in Brazil. Moderated by Oscar Laborde.
