21st Century Challenges from South America
On Thursday, February 26, Tektónikos, on his second birthday, alongside CLACSO y Southern WorldThey convened political and academic leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean for a virtual meeting to discuss the international scenario and the challenges of our region.

In a context marked by the structural crisis in the United States and the imperial offensive led by Donald Trump, the meeting will address three central themes:
🔹 The crisis in the United States: Leandro MorgenfeldUniversity of Buenos Aires and CLACSO, and Mark Bray, writer from the United States.
🔹 Challenges to a contested Latin America and the Caribbean under Trump's imperialism: Monica Valente, São Paulo Forum and PT of Brazil, Rander Pena, Venezuela's Vice Minister for Latin America, Carlos TomadaMundo Sur, former Argentine ambassador to Mexico, and Dario Pignotti, journalist and correspondent in Brazil.
🔹 What to do? The task of popular movements at this stage: oscar laborde, former Argentine ambassador to Venezuela, and Carlos Raimundi, former Argentine ambassador to the OAS.
The global hegemonic transition is underway. Our America must decide whether it will be the object or the subject of that transformation.
Tektonic It is a group of Latin American journalists specializing in international relations, with more than 40 years of experience in Argentina and other countries.
