Challenges of feminisms heading towards the 9th Conference #CLACSO2022

On March 8, as part of the numerous activities promoted by CLACSO for “March, Women’s Month,” Karina Batthyány, Executive Secretary of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences, held a dialogue with coordinators of CLACSO’s Working Groups about “Challenges of feminisms heading towards the 9th Conference #CLACSO2022”.
Participants:
-Alba Carosio – Researcher in Feminist and Gender Studies. Co-coordinator of the Working Group “Feminisms, resistances and emancipation”. Venezuela.
Delmy Tania Cruz Hernández – Anti-racist feminist, southern environmentalist, and popular educator. Co-coordinator of the Working Group “Bodies, Territories, and Feminisms”. Mexico. She is part of the Latin American collective Miradas Críticas del Territorio desde el Feminismo and is a co-founder of the community feminist organization based in Chiapas, “Mujeres Transformando Mundos”.
Graciela Di Marco – Director of the Center for Studies on Democratization and Human Rights and of the Postgraduate Program in Human Rights and Social Policies at the University of San Martín, Argentina – Co-coordinator of the Working Group “Anti-patriarchal struggles, families, genders, diversities and citizenship”.
Natalia Quiroga Díaz – Feminist economist and activist, Colombian Migrant residing in Argentina. Institute of the Conurbation, National University of General Sarmiento. Co-coordinator of the Working Group “Emancipatory Feminist Economics”.
Nora Goren – She directs the Institute of Social Studies in Contexts of Inequalities and the Master's Program in Public Policies and Feminisms at the National University of José C. Paz, ArgentinaCo-coordinator of the Working Group “Gender, (in)equalities and rights in tension”.
Melody Fonseca – Center for Social Research, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Puerto Rico. Co-coordinator of the Working Group “Network of Genders, Feminisms and Memories of Latin America and the Caribbean”.
Valentina Perrotta She holds a PhD in Sociology and is a lecturer and researcher in the Gender Sociology Group at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the Republic. UruguayCo-coordinator of the "Care and Gender" Working Group.
