Decoloniality and "disability"
This book, a collaborative work between CLACSO and the Faculty of Social Sciences at UDELAR (University of the Republic, Uruguay), adopts a decolonial perspective for the analysis of disability. It presents theoretical and methodological frameworks from a pluriversal viewpoint regarding being and doing in the Latin American Global South, mediated by the constructs of race and aesthetics. It also shares concrete examples from specific contexts, addressing themes such as the deaf community, education, social movements, sexuality, and motherhood, among others.
