Care and public policies
CLACSO and UN Women developed the call for papers that led to this book, aiming to broaden and deepen studies on care and gender in the region, with a special focus on the inequalities that arise in the various activities and dimensions of care work. This work is also part of the strategic alliance between both organizations to advance gender equality and women's empowerment. It is a joint effort that trusts the content included here will challenge, in diverse and unique ways, continued research and work on care issues from academia, public policy, and social activism, with a critical and transformative vision.
