4 new open access libraries
CLACSO presents four new open access libraries with the most important productions of the centers associated with CLACSO in Brazil and the publications of three prestigious academic institutions in our region: the University of San Marcos (Peru), the National University of the Arts (Ecuador) and the Institute of Improvement and Higher Studies (Uruguay).
The Open Access Library of the CLACSO Brazil Centers is one of the most important networks for the production of academic knowledge in Portuguese in the region. Through the Library, users can access recent publications on a wide range of topics produced by some of the more than 80 centers and networks that make up the Brazilian centers affiliated with CLACSO.
The Library of the University of San Marcos in Peru is one of the oldest and most important in Latin America. Its collection will include original works by the researchers and professors of the institution, founded in 1551, making it one of the first universities in the Americas.
The Library of the National University of the Arts of Ecuador brings together publications related to learning and research on and within art. The available texts address artistic expression through a reflective approach that, on the one hand, analyzes it from multiple fields of knowledge (philosophy, aesthetics, sociology of art, anthropology, psychology of art, semiotics, art history, musicology) and, on the other hand, proposes specific paths for development through a unique method of inquiry, work, and experimentation, leading to novel results that contribute to artistic creation.
The Library of the Institute of Improvement and Higher Studies of Uruguay - an associated center of CLACSO - makes available its collection of pedagogical productions, especially oriented towards the dissemination of educational ideas and experiences.
