Economic crisis and development dilemmas in Latin America and the Caribbean
Within the framework of the 9th Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences, on Wednesday, June 8, in the Main Tent set up at the UNAM campus, the keynote dialogue “ Economic Crisis and Development Dilemmas in Latin America and the Caribbean ” took place. The speakers were Alicia Bárcena , former Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC); Paul Ladd of the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development, Switzerland; and Álvaro García Linera , former Vice President of Bolivia. The event was introduced by Karina Batthyány , Executive Director of CLACSO, Uruguay.
