 International cooperation to combat COVID-19

On June 9 and 10, an online forum of global think tanks on International Cooperation to Combat COVID-19 and Build a Community of Shared Future will be held.

The meeting is co-organized from China by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, the Academy of Contemporary Chinese and World Studies of the China Foreign Languages ​​Publishing Administration, the Chongyang Institute of Financial Studies of Renmin University of China and the Center for China and Globalization; and, from other countries, by the International Affairs Council of Russia, the Center for European Policy Studies, the British East Asia Council, the Korean Institute of International Economic Policy, the South African Human Sciences Research Council and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO).

In this context, on Wednesday, June 10, Karina Batthyány, Executive Secretary of CLACSO, will be one of the speakers on the panel “Promoting Post-Epidemic Recovery and Improving Global Governance.” Moderated by Yang Qingqing, Assistant to the Dean of RDCY, the panel will also include Astrid Skala-Kuhmann, Director of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Special Advisor to the Belt and Road Initiative, Germany; Jaya Josie, former head of the BRICS Research Center (BRC) at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) and visiting professor at the Institute of Business Studies, Zhejiang University (ZIBS), South Africa; Branislav Djordjevic, Director of the Institute of International Politics and Economics, Serbia; and Giorgi Amilakhvari, Rector of Tbilisi Open University, Georgia.
