Cultural cooperation in Mexico

The Los Pinos Cultural Complex in Mexico City hosted a meeting between Dr. Pablo Raphael de la Madrid, Director General of Cultural Promotion and Festivals of the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, and the delegation of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences visiting the country as part of the preparations for the 9th Latin American and Caribbean Conference to be held at UNAM from June 7 to 10, 2022.

During the meeting on Wednesday, September 29, CLACSO Executive Secretary Karina Batthyány focused on exploring possible avenues for cooperation and joint work in preparation for this important global social science event, which "will undoubtedly be an excellent opportunity to present cultural and artistic expressions and to coordinate efforts," she noted.

It is worth remembering that the 9th Conference will offer, in addition to exhibitions and debates, an international book fair for social sciences and humanities and an international film series, among other special events.

Also participating in the meeting on behalf of CLACSO were Darío Salinas and Alain Basail Rodríguez, members of the Steering Committee for Mexico; and from the Executive Secretariat: Nicolás Arata, Director of Training; Pablo Vommaro, Director of Research; Laura Gastón, Director of Administration; and Gustavo Lema, Director of Communication and Information.
