CLACSO agreement with Blossom Press of China

On Thursday, October 21, within the framework of IV International Forum “China and Latin America: Dialogue of Civilizations”, the Executive Secretary of CLACSO, Karina Batthyány, signed a collaboration agreement with the publishing house Blossom Press of China.

On this occasion, Karina Batthyány highlighted the importance of the agreement and emphasized: “Since our founding in 1967, CLACSO has maintained a significant publishing policy to disseminate Latin American social sciences and humanities worldwide. Our bibliographic collection, fully available in open access on our website, is one of the world’s largest repositories of social sciences. This important agreement with Blossom Press, which has long focused on publishing books on exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations, especially books and activities on China-Latin America relations, as well as books and services on traditional Chinese culture for young people and adults, will allow CLACSO to deepen cooperation, enhance its work with Chinese academia, and disseminate important contributions of Latin American social sciences in China, as well as those of Chinese social sciences in Latin America. The main focus of our cooperation will be the exchange of publications and materials, joint publications, and joint activities to translate, distribute, and promote both publications.”

Founded in 1982 in Beijing, Blossom Press is a member of the China International Publishing Group (CIPG). Its Chinese name Zhaohua (Blossom) means “full of vigor and vitality”.
