Contribution of strengthening scientific systems to development in transition in Latin America and the Caribbean, OEI-FORCYT Program
The OEI has been implementing the program since 2020 FORCYT for the strengthening of Ibero-American scientific systems with the support of the Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) of the European Commission, within the framework of “Facility for Transition DevelopmentThe purpose of this initiative is to strengthen public policies in our region regarding science and technology to address the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change.
The FORCYT Program, which concludes in 2023, is in an intermediate phase of implementation, ideal for sharing the results achieved so far and creating spaces for reflection that contribute to strengthening innovative forms of horizontal cooperation and peer learning between the European Union and Ibero-America. To this end, the OEI will organize the event “Contribution of strengthening scientific systems to development in transition in Latin America and the Caribbean”, which will be held during June 1 and 2, 2022.
- El Day 1.We will have a specific session on the Challenges of evaluation for strengthening public policies in science Representatives from programs supported by FORCYT will participate.
- El Day 2.The event will be held in person in Madrid (Spain), streamed online, and will focus on the Scientific cooperation and development in transition in Latin America.
