From the Latin American Forum on Scientific Evaluation (FOLEC-CLACSO) We invite the academic and scientific community to participate in the round table “Open knowledge: policies, communities and infrastructures”, organized by The Mexiquense College, AC Within the framework of International Open Access Week 2025The meeting will take place on Friday, October 24 at 10:00 AM (Mexico time), in virtual format, and will be broadcast on the institution's official YouTube and Facebook channels.

The activity will address the challenges and opportunities of open knowledge in Latin America, with special attention to the public policies, communities of practice, and the necessary infrastructure to guarantee equitable and sustainable access to scientific knowledge. Participants will include Alejandra Hurtado Tarazona (Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation – SECITI), Gabriel Vélez Cuartas (University of Antioquia), Barbara Rivera Lopez (Barcelona Declaration) and Arturo Garduño Magaña (Open Book Collective). Moderation will be provided by Ivonne Lujano Vilchis y Miguel Guajardo Mendoza, both from El Colegio Mexiquense.
