World Congress Against Neoliberalism in Education
Between November 11 and 17, with extended activities, Rio de Janeiro becomes the place that brings together more than 1.370 registered people with more than 158 presentations in the III World Congress against neoliberalism in education that is carried out at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, with the participation, in the Political Act of installation on Monday the 11, of Luis Bonilla Molina , member of the Steering Committee of CLACSO for Venezuela.
Analyzing the current offensive of commodification, privatization and standardization of education in different parts of the world, as well as making visible the resistances and alternatives that are being built, are part of the objectives of the meeting organized by the Brazilian unions Sindicato Nacional dos Docentes das Instituições de Ensino Superior (ANDES-SN), Federação de Sindicatos de Trabalhadores Técnico-Administrativos em Instituições de Ensino Superior Públicas do Brasil (FASUBRA Sindical), Rede Federal de Educação Profissional, Científica e Tecnológica (SINASEFE) and the International Research Center Other Voices in Education (OVE).
