How to contain the advance of the right wing in Latin America and the Caribbean?
The emergence of the so-called "new right" or far right in Latin America and the Caribbean is a sign of the times that occupies and worries analysts, academics, members of social movements and the people of the region who view with concern the advances of neoliberal positions, often denialist and which vindicate the civic-military dictatorships of the second half of the last century, and which tend to have growing electoral support.
The Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) has been analyzing and raising awareness about this phenomenon, investigating, disseminating information, and providing a platform for experts who express their views in forums, congresses, interviews, and participation in the weekly InfoCLACSO event.
