How to analyze the electoral performance of the far right in France?

Después del avance de las extremas derechas en las elecciones al Parlamento Europeo el 9 de junio pasado, llegó la hora de las legislativas en Francia. Triunfante en primera vuelta el 30 de junio con 33% de los sufragios, el “Reagrupamiento Nacional” de Marine Le Pen se sentía ganador e incluso ya tenía designado a un joven dirigente, Jordan Bardella, para ser primer ministro. Los resultados no los acompañaron, y si bien ninguna agrupación obtuvo la mayoría absoluta, se impuso el “Nuevo Frente Popular”, conformado por tres fuerzas de izquierda más el partido ecologista, relegando a un tercer puesto a la extrema derecha local.
