Research Calls Collection
We present three new volumes in the Research Calls collection. The texts included in each of these books are the result of calls for proposals issued by CLACSO, with the aim of supporting researchers in their pursuit of rigorous and innovative knowledge on topics of paramount importance to our region's agenda.
Knowledge as a common good This volume brings together essays and research selected for the first edition of the “Dominique Babini” award, an initiative of CLACSO in collaboration with regional and international partners. With a situated and critical perspective, the authors address global challenges to open access, cognitive justice practices, and innovative experiences that broaden the horizons of academic production. The work pays tribute to Dominique Babini, a key figure in the non-commercial open access movement.
After 40 years of democracy It offers a lucid, critical, and necessary journey through its highs and lows. From that historic December 10, 1983, to the present, marked by crises, triumphs, setbacks, and new struggles, this volume brings together diverse voices that analyze achievements, persistent shortcomings, and urgent challenges.
Migration, State and Policies From multiple disciplines, it addresses the intersections between migration, public policy, hegemonic discourses, and forms of resistance. From the Darién Gap to Haitian migration routes, and including Andean electoral discourses and normative transformations in Costa Rica, the volume offers a critical cartography of current migration dynamics.
