The agreement seeks to promote joint activities and strengthen technical-academic cooperation for the training of officials, workers and community members.

Regarding this, the mayor martin perez He emphasized that “the collaborative work we have been doing for the past five years with CLACSO has allowed us to strengthen and expand fundamental public policies for our city.” In this regard, he underlined that “this agreement renews our commitment to continue building capacities that will impact the lives of our residents.” He also highlighted that “as a municipality, we have had the opportunity to share Río Grande’s experience at regional meetings. This fills us with pride and motivates us to continue consolidating this path.”

For its part, Pablo Vommaro He stated: “This framework agreement enables much closer cooperation between both institutions. It is a very important agreement for CLACSO because, as an organization linked to research and academia, it allows us to have a strong influence on public policy.” He emphasized that “CLACSO is a regional institution, not only present in Argentina,” and added that “from Río Grande we will be able to coordinate aspects of training, advising, consulting, research, and participation in events.” He concluded by saying that “with this agreement we are achieving the realization of the connection between knowledge and public policy.”

The agreement not only facilitates access for municipal staff to CLACSO's academic offerings and provides training opportunities for the Río Grande community, but also extends to the development of various joint actions.

The agreement includes:
• Training: Offer training courses, seminars, workshops, diplomas, specializations and postgraduate courses, with a 50% discount on the total value for the staff of the Municipality.
• Research and Consulting: Conduct research, consulting and technical advisory activities, and prepare reports on topics of mutual interest.
• Academic Events: Organize joint conferences, seminars, workshops and other academic activities.
• Joint Projects: Develop and coordinate research projects and studies that benefit both parties.
• Scholarships and Internships: Coordinate the allocation of scholarships and study internships.
