The Seminar on China-Argentina Publishing Cooperation, which was held on April 24 At the Reading China Pavilion, it brought together leading editors and representatives from both countries to strengthen ties in academic, literary, and social science publishing. Fernanda Pampín, Director of Publications of CLACSO, participated in the seminar on behalf of our institution.

Fernanda Pampín, Director of Editorial Production at CLACSO, with Chen Biao, head of the Chinese delegation, Deputy Director of the Social Sciences Publishing House of China

In his speech, Fernanda Pampín He highlighted, among other concepts: “Over the years, CLACSO has played an active role in connecting academic publishers in Latin America and the Caribbean, promoting regional cooperation, multilingualism, and the open circulation of knowledge. This experience allows us today not only to share lessons learned but also to propose concrete ways to deepen ties between publishing institutions in China and our region, through collaborative networks, co-publications, shared platforms, and common work agendas. With this objective in mind, I would like to highlight the creation of CLACSO’s Center for Studies and Exchange between Latin America, the Caribbean, and China. This initiative constitutes both an academic program and a platform for institutional cooperation aimed at strengthening ties between both regions from a critical, pluralistic perspective situated in the Global South, enabling us to build a community with a shared future for all humanity.”
