CLACSO FOLEC at the IDRC Partners Meeting on Inclusive Science in the Global South

On November 25, Pablo Vommaro, Executive Director of CLACSO, together with Judith Naidorf and Matías Alcántara (CLACSO FOLEC) participated in the IDRC Partners Meeting on Inclusive Science in the Global South, which took place in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay.

The meeting aimed to exchange experiences and lessons learned, as well as to foster collaboration and integration among Science, Technology, and Innovation projects and initiatives supported by IDRC's Inclusive Science Program in Latin America and the Caribbean. It also sought to contribute to the development of a theory of change geared towards promoting inclusive and sustainable science in the Global South, and to generate input for the program's strategic planning and funding strategy.

With a work agenda that extended throughout the day and fostered fruitful debates, CLACSO FOLEC was part of the panel “Presentation of initiatives from Latin America and the Caribbean with a focus on promoting inclusive science”, together with CSUCA, ANII, SENACYT/City of Knowledge Foundation, Scoping Study in the Caribbean and FAPESP.

This space showcased the progress of the ongoing projectTracking Research Funding Flows in the Global South for a More Transparent and Inclusive Science”, funded by IDRC and implemented by FOLEC-CLACSO.
