CLACSO-FOLEC supports ASAPbio's "Publish Your Reviews website" initiative.

Publish Your Reviews is an initiative led by ASAPbio to encourage reviewers to publish their reviews alongside the preprint of an article. The proposal invites reviewers from all fields to sign a pledge, and they appreciate the support of journals and other organizations.

Rationale for the proposal

Publishing reviews alongside preprints benefits the academic community in several ways, including:
1. Provide readers with additional context about the preprints, pointing out the strengths, weaknesses, and open questions.
2. It allows the reuse of peer reviews, thus reducing the burden on editors and reviewers.
3. Take the discussions into the public domain, where readers can enrich the conversation with diverse knowledge.
4. It exposes the work of reviewers to a wider audience, promoting greater recognition of this important work.
5. Catalyze a culture of open feedback on preprints by bringing hidden conversations to light.

Reviewer's commitment
When a journal invites me to review an article that is available as a preprint, I will publish my review alongside the preprint. I will ensure that the published version of my review does not include the journal's name, a publication recommendation, or other confidential information.

The initiative is developing recommendations on best practices for writing, publishing, and communicating reviews.
