Nordic Latin American Research Network Conference

From May 21 to 23, the Latin American Council of Social Sciences will participate as a special guest of the XII Conference of the Nordic Latin American Research Network (NOLAN) and the II Forum of the International Federation of Latin American and Caribbean Studies (FIEALC), at the South Campus of the University of Copenhagen, in Denmark, within the framework of the academic cooperation sustained for more than 50 years between CLACSO and the Nordic countries.

Under the name of "Latin America and the Nordic countries: relations, reflections, perspectivesThe aim of the meeting is to rethink the relationship between Latin American and Nordic regions, both in terms of close dialogue on social and humanistic thought and the exchange of practical knowledge. The conference program includes academic panels, invited speakers, and plenary roundtables.


In that context, on Tuesday, May 21, the Executive Director of CLACSO, Karina Batthyány, delivered the lecture "Intersections and conflicts: critical issues in gender policies in Latin America".

And on Wednesday, May 22nd, Karina Batthyány She participated in the round table “Nordic strategies in cooperation with Latin America”.


In turn, on May 22, Pablo Vommaro, Academic Secretary of CLACSO, participated in the Panel “Social movements, Transformations and Politics” and the Table “Scientific cooperation between Latin America and the Nordic Countries”.
