CLACSO at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Communication Technologies of UTEM

On Monday, May 25th, Latin American Council of Social Sciences held a working meeting in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Communication Technologies of UTEM, in Santiago, Chile.

Representing CLACSO, the following participated Marco Álvarez, representative for Chile on the Steering Committee, and Fernanda PampínDirector of Publications. They were received by Julia Cerda Carvajal, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Communications Technology, Paulina Cárdenas, Faculty Secretary, Oscar Vega, Director of the Department of Social Work at UTEM, and Juan Oscar Martínez, Director of the Department of Cartography and coordinator of the Territory Observatory, the latter two were representing the two CLACSO Member Centers at UTEM.

In a fruitful meeting, they exchanged ideas on various future actions that will strengthen the bond with the Centers and on the importance of defending transformative critical thinking and the role of the social sciences and humanities in the current regional context.
