The Inter-American Court of Human Rights emphasizes that access to justice entails preventing revictimization, protecting the privacy and security of victims and witnesses, and providing adequate assistance during legal proceedings. Swift and effective legal procedures must be established to punish sexual violence, with a gender perspective and without delay, as stipulated by the Belém do Pará Convention. This implies more rigorous investigations into cases of gender-based violence, including ex officio expert examinations to verify sexual or gender-based motives, exceeding ordinary standards.

Key aspects of CSW70:
-Guarantee and strengthen access to justice for women and girls, eliminating structural barriers and discriminatory laws.
-It addresses the setback in women's rights and legal inequality, where women only have 64% of the legal rights of men.
-Analyze how legal inequality affects lives and societies, and recommend actions to close this gap.
