CLACSO in the CRES + 5 Public Consultation Axis 5. Challenges of scientific, technological and innovation research for Latin America and the Caribbean
The Third Regional Conference on Higher Education (CRES), held in Córdoba, Argentina, in June 2018, adopted a Declaration and an ambitious work agenda for 2018–2028. It was also agreed that a follow-up conference would be held five years later. With the support of the Brazilian government, the CRES+5 Conference It will take place from March 13 to 15, 2024 in Brasilia (Brazil).
CRES+5 will be an opportunity to review the achievements made in higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean and, at the same time, to establish priorities with a view to the next Regional Conference on Higher Education to be held in 2028.
In this context, the first public consultation will be on Scientific and technological research and innovation as drivers of human, social and economic development for Latin America and the Caribbean.
It will take place on 15 and 16 November, 9 p.m. to 18 p.ms, in the Buenos Aires (Argentina).
The format will be hybrid, at Bartolomé Mitre 1869 (CABA) and live via Zoom.

CLACSO will participate in Table 7 "The development of socio-technical innovation ecosystems will be supported by technology transfer, technological disaggregation and closing cognitive gaps" and in Table 9 "The region demands new and appropriate processes of evaluation, production and dissemination of knowledge, with standards of relevance."
