CLACSO at the 3rd World Meeting of INCASI2
The Pablo de Olavide University of Seville, Spain, was the venue for the “3rd World Meeting of the INCASI International Network 2 (International Network for Comparative Analysis of Social Inequalities), which was attended by Pablo Vommaro, Executive Director of CLACSO, who on Saturday the 23rd presented the research, training and communication proposals on social inequalities and open science of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences.
CLACSO joined this international research network in mid-2025, which connects 29 global organizations, including 14 European universities, 11 Latin American and Caribbean universities (many of which are CLACSO Member Centers), as well as regional centers and institutions such as our Council, and has Pablo Vommaro as its Principal Investigator assigned to the INCASI2 project.
INCASI2 is a scientific consortium coordinated by the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Its main objective is to design a new analytical model and an innovative multidimensional measure to study and compare socioeconomic inequalities between Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean.
The World Meetings function as the in-person hubs and collective discussion points of the project. Following the first global meetings focused on launching the dimensions and networking (such as those in Seville and Rio de Janeiro), this third meeting aims to consolidate the progress of the interdisciplinary framework, coordinate researcher exchanges (Staff Exchanges), and strengthen the INCASI Living Lab (the network's space dedicated to scientific transfer, methodological discussion, and the design of diagnostic tools for public policies).
These meetings assess the three main analytical poles of the network: inequalities arising from the educational field, the dynamics of the labor market (such as the use of platforms) and the gaps associated with reproductive and care work.
