Chile in a state of rebellion
The current situation in Chile, a country experiencing an unprecedented level of repression and persecution in democratic times, and with a popular response that does not give up despite the dead and detained, is analyzed by 4 members of the CLACSO Working Groups in the South American country.
-Francisca Fernández Droguett. Member of the CLACSO Working Group on Collective Memories and Practices of Resistance. Professor at the Academic University of Christian Humanism. Member of the 8M Feminist Coordinating Committee and the Movement for Water and Territories.
-Fabián Araneda. Journalist and psychologist. Member of Convergencia Social. Member of the Social Psychology of Memory Program at the University of Chile.
-Catherine Galas. Academic at the University of Chile. Member of the CLACSO Working Group on Collective Memories and Practices of Resistance and coordinator of the South-South Working Group.
-Miguel Urrutia. Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Chile. Coordinator of the research group on Work, Social Classes and Collective Action.
