One of the primary intentions of this book's creative process is to find ourselves. We believe that mapping involves recognizing that we are, exist, and grow in different spaces, times, and dimensions, with the particularities that are constructed there, with the awareness that we are inhabited by and create multiplicities. The dynamic of encounters we experienced enabled moments of unexpected dialogue and writing, as unpredictable as the pandemic we are still experiencing as humanity. A book is an encounter. This book is the creation of those alternatives that academic spaces do not offer us because they do not exist (or are scarce), they were not conceived, they are not profitable, they do not make us compete. This is a book to unite, to support one another, to grieve, to hope, and to carry on. It is a book to continue weaving other cartographies, other territories free from all forms of violence. Feel embraced by all of us.
