Gender Cartographies
This book comprises a series of conversations with some of the most relevant figures in contemporary feminism and queer theory. The volume constructs a theoretical landscape that helps map voices from different countries (Argentina, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, and Costa Rica), works produced in diverse disciplinary fields (philosophy, sociology, literary theory, history, and design), and critical endeavors with varying emphases (sometimes more decidedly feminist, some more closely related to queer theory, and others combining perspectives from both currents). The dialogues throughout this text address some of the most significant points of contention surrounding gender and its cultural inscription.
