Biopolitics, gender violence and resistance in Latin America
This new volume in the CLACSO-CALAS collection addresses strategies for confronting policies of intervention on bodies, overcoming necropolitics, and fighting for life. Its approach to biopolitics from a historical perspective allows for contextualizing present-day needs and uncovering continuities in social practices characterized by the imposition of norms, regulations, and controls.
Their interdisciplinary contributions illustrate the importance of the collective production of meaning and horizontal dialogue: a scientific approach that engages with other forms of knowledge, renounces epistemological hierarchies, and commits to activism.
