This volume contains a bibliographical investigation that allows us to recount, through his published work, the life of Arturo Andrés Roig, one of the most prominent figures in Latin American philosophy. His extensive output (1947–2012 and posthumous editions) enabled Elisabeth Roig to construct a narrative that includes, in addition to the bibliography itself, autobiographical writings, handwritten notes, and unpublished correspondence, among many other texts that illuminate significant moments in Latin American philosophy and the history of ideas. In this biobibliography, the data acquires density, branches out, takes its place in the narrative, and thus the catalog becomes a story. That is to say, it can be read as the account of a life, a body of work, and an era with all its tensions and conflicts. Outside the traditional molds of bibliographies and catalogs, this documentary exploration, written as a life story, delving into texts, correspondence, and searching for details that condense meanings, is an indispensable tool for those who investigate in the fields of philosophy, the history of ideas, and Latin American culture.
