 Library for a pedagogy of memory

On Tuesday, May 6, the collection “Memory and Human Rights: Library for a Pedagogy of Memory"On General Directorate of Culture and Education of the Province of Buenos Aires.

The series features 30 key titles for discussing and reflecting on memory and the recent past, stemming from the deep conviction that it is essential to develop new approaches so that teachers can promote a humanist education committed to the premise of Never Again. Among the selected titles are: books from the CLACSO catalog which will be distributed to the Higher Institutes of Teacher Training.

Those present at the launch included Alberto Sileoni, Minister of Education and Culture of the Province; Celeste Adamoli from the Coordination of Public Policies on Human Rights; Victoria Montenegro, a Buenos Aires legislator and recovered granddaughter; and the journalist and documentary filmmaker Ana CacopardoCLACSO was represented by Fernanda Pampín, its Director of Publications.

The Latin American Council of Social Sciences is pleased to be part of this public policy initiative that seeks to renew the ways of teaching, addressing and learning about state terrorism in Buenos Aires classrooms.
