CLACSO Working Group Bodies, Territories, Resistances

CLACSO, in conjunction with the Retos Publishing Cooperative, the Jorge Alonso Chair and the University Center for Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Guadalajara, commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation uprising with the publication of thirty paperback books within the framework of the CLACSO/Al Faro Zapatista Open Access Library.

This series is a tribute to the Zapatista women, children, elders and men in their more than five hundred years of resistance and their thirty years of rebel public life since the uprising of January 1, 1994.

The initiative was spearheaded by the CLACSO Working Group on Bodies, Territories, and Resistance, and by more than fifty social scientists and activists from Mexico, Latin America, the United States, Europe, and Asia. The books show why, where, and how Zapatismo has been a beacon for many inhabitants of planet Earth.
