Open access library "Bicentennial of Bolivia"

The Bicentennial of Bolivia is considered the beginning of its independence as a nation, thanks to the Chuquisaca Revolution on May 25, 1809, and its subsequent liberation in 1825. Bolivia is a state whose identity arises from the overlapping of certain social events, historical acts, and economic processes that occurred simultaneously throughout the history of its inhabitants. This identity, of a “variegated nature,” is expressed daily in public institutions and in their relationship with civil society. The Plurinational Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has contributed to specialized training in Diplomacy and International Relations for almost 70 years.

On the road to 2025, the bicentennial of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Bolivia, CLACSO, in alliance with the Plurinational Diplomatic Academy, is launching this joint virtual library, essential for disseminating and understanding the history and culture of the Andean country.
