CLACSO-RedINJU Scholarships

Open call to postgraduate students from CLACSO-affiliated centers to undertake postdoctoral studies in the Social Sciences, Childhood and Youth Research program



The Postdoctoral Research Program in Social Sciences, Childhood and Youth, organized by the Network of Postgraduate Studies in Childhood and Youth – RedINJU, the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), the Center for Advanced Studies in Childhood and Youth of the CINDE Foundation and the University of Manizales, Colombia; the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo PUCP-SP, Brazil; the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), Argentina; the University of the Republic, Uruguay; the National University of Lanús, Argentina; El Colegio de la Frontera Norte, Mexico; the Salesian Polytechnic University, Ecuador; the University of La Plata, Argentina; the Center for Psychological and Sociological Research, CIPS, Cuba; and the Luis Amigó Catholic University, Colombia, will award 9 scholarships to conduct postdoctoral studies in the Program in Social Sciences, Childhood and Youth, with the purpose of encouraging research and critical reflection on childhood and youth.

To that end, the call will grant 9 scholarships:

  • A 100% tuition scholarship in the name of María Camila Ospina Alvarado for the undertaking of an original, situated and transformative research project, framed within one of the following thematic fields: childhoods, youth, memories, early childhood education or peacebuilding.
  • A tuition scholarship covering 80% of the program's cost to the first two selected applications.
  • A 50% tuition scholarship to the third, fourth, fifth and sixth applications selected.
  • A 30% tuition scholarship for successful applicants in seventh and eighth place.

The scholarships cover the corresponding percentage of tuition costs. Participation expenses for the Postdoctoral meetings must be covered by the applicants.
